Eeeek a mouse!

Gross gross gross!
So we've known we've had a mouse problem for awhile now but really we've just been ignoring it until the other day a comicazi mouse ran over Rich's foot. That was the last straw!
We had been trying to take care of the problem in a humane way buy buying those electric mouse detours that you leave plugged in. Well those didn't really work. So we went to the store and bought mouse traps. One humane one that will catch them in a box and then we can set them free and then four snap their necks regular ones. So we get them all set up in the cupboard and put a little peanut butter on them and then go swimming with Dex at the rec center.
Which was absolutely awesome he is such a dare devil. At first he was a little unsure about what was going on and just staring at all the kids freaking out on the play toys but then he warmed up to it. He was laughing and slapping the water and just loving every minute of it. Then Rich got his attention and Rich went underwater. Well not to be out done Dex kept sticking his face in the water then coming up and smiling. I couldn't believe him just sticking his whole face underwater and thinking it was funny. What a kid!
Anyway so we get back and were all sitting in the kitchen hanging out and I'm sitting at island thing looking at some mail and what do you know? Same comicazi mouse tries to run over my foot. I freak out as any person should who is 1200 X bigger than their foe and start doing a little dance and screaming. Rich has no idea what is going on for a second until the mouse rounds the corner and he sees it and joins me in my freak out dance. he he(His freak out dance was much better than mine)
So game on mice! We check the traps that we had set and what do you know the little boogers have eaten off the peanut butter leaving the trap unsprung and a note that says next time can you add nuts?
I grab the traps stick cheese on them in a way that the cheese will only come off with lots of chewing. Set them in the cupboard and go to bed.
I wake up this morning expecting to get maybe one mouse. I look in the traps 3 out of 4 traps have mice in them! The humane one is empty. Are you kidding me?!?! I can't believe we have that many little critters running around our house. It is just too gross for words. Needless to say the traps have been reset and I'm waiting patiently. I really hope we don't get anymore 3 is enough if we have more than that I just don't know what we'll do, maybe rent a cat or something.

you can rent out our cat. He's good at catching stuff. As long as Blue doesn't catch HIM. I hope you get all the little buggers though. gross!

We had them in our apartment and they used the poison and only put it behind our washing machine where Maggie couldn't get to it and they were gone within a week or so.

The problem with that plan, is if your dog eats a poisoned mouse, they can still get sick. So if you go for it make sure you look for dead mice frequently.
