Reading

So Dex is starting to get into reading books. Every once in a while he'll bring us a book to read to him his favorite one is called "But not the hippopotamus." Check it out.

Really?

So on Friday Rich, Dex and I went to the park to place some ultimate Frisbee. It was a grand ol' time Rich played mostly and Dex and I ran around and Dex saw his very first Tractor, it was very exciting and yet confusing at the same time.
Anyway we get done playing and start to walk back to our car and Rich says, "did we leave the driver's side window down?"
"No" I reply.
As we walk closer we notice a bunch of glass on the ground. That's right some jerk face smashed our window grabbed our wallets and ran. I could not believe this actually had happened to us! We didn't even hear our car alarm go off, I still wonder if it did.
So we're pretty mad but luckily they didn't make off with much, probably $30 bucks, two pretty sweet wallets, our Drivers license, mine and Dex's Health care cards and I think that was pretty much about it. All in all it's more annoying that we have to go to the DMV and get new ID's than anything. Not to mention the money that we have spend to fix the freaking window. I hate people that steal.
Oh I almost forgot the bank called us yesterday and asked us if we had used our cards at all and we of course said no they were stolen. Apparently this thief has expensive taste and really knows how to splurge because they went and rented two redbox movies and then dined at McDonald's.
Idiot.

CPR

Last Saturday Rich and I went skiing at Solitude. We went telemarking, something we haven't done in years. Literally years. So we go up and we are so out of shape that we are only able to get three runs in. Yeah I know pathetic but lunging down a ski hill is harder than it sounds. Anyway we had a lot of fun. As we are turning onto Wasatch we look to the side of the road and there is a person doing what looks like CPR. We pull over and sure enough they are doing chest compressions on a guy who apparently is having a heart attack! It was crazy. So I step in and start doing the compressions while Rich grabs the wife's phone and gets on line with the EMS so they know exactly where to go which is a good thing because they were heading up the canyon. So I keep doing compressions and lucky for this guy an ER doc and a resident showed up, they too where just driving by. We continue working on him and the paramedics arrive and took over. They put the defibrillator on him and shocked him and kept doing CPR then put him in the ambulance and drove away. We don't know if the guy lived or died. Totally crazy, its the first time that's happened to me outside the hospital and the first time Rich had ever seen anything like that. Needless to say we were a little shook up but quite an interesting end to a day.
