Livin in the ghetto

Well Rich had an exciting night, he had just finished feeding Dex when he saw flashing lights from a cop car outside. He went to investigate and apparently the cops were at the nieghbor's for some reason. About that time he noticed what looked like to be someone in our backyard plus Blue started to act funny. So Rich told Blue "get em" so Blue started growling and barking at the person in the backyard and ended up scaring them to the point they started crying. The cops heard to comomtion and came over and arrested him.
Apparently it was our neighbor's son who is on drugs. The cops went to his house across the strett and he ended up trying to runinto our backyard to try to escape but when Blue started going after him he got scared. Thankfully he didn't get into our house or anything. So now the cops are searching the street and looking for any drugs this guy might have dropped. How scary! I'm glad I was a work when all this happened but I feel bad that Rich was alone.

Rock and Roll

Dex has started a couple of cute things this last week. First he has found that he can grab his feet. He does it all the time now its so cute. He is even starting to roll on his side. The side is as far as he goes and then stops. It will be fun when he figures out he can go the whole way.

First play Day

We had the Potter's over yesterday and it was so cute their little girl who is one year old started to play with Dex while he was in his exersaucer. It had to be the cutest thing ever.

You can't tell but this very lady and the tramp. There is a green piece of plastic that both the kids had their mouths on. It looked like the scene from Lady and the Tramp when the dogs have the noodle in their mouth.

Weekend

His future is so bright...he's gotta wear shades.

Mother's day was fun we, and when I say we I mean Rich and Ryan, made a big meal for their mom and we invited them over to our house for dinner. It was officially the first holiday meal we've had here. It was fun I got to use my grandma's china and even a table cloth. Not many people know this but I enjoy napkin folding or for every fancy meal I fold the napkins all cool. Its totally not necessary but fun just the same.

Hike

Well we took Dex on his very first hike! It was cute he barely fits in the pack we have. He had a lot of fun he is really talkative now so at first he was making little noises with every step Rich took then he fell asleep. He only got fussing on the way home.



Dex has really developed a lot this last week! He has started grabbing at things and playing with toys its so freakin cute. He's even started to sleep with one at night.
Not to be outdone Blue is still being just as cute as ever when we don't let him sleep on our bed he makes his own.

Garden

So I swore I wasn't going to do a garden this year but... at least its not a full garden I planted a strawberry plant, a raspberry bush, asparagus and sunflower seeds. That's it we'll see how it goes. I'm so happy because I planted it a yesterday so it got rained on all day today. Yeah! The pic with the round stones is where I planted the sunflowers. If all grows according to plan when you walk in the garden you will walk through a gate of sunflowers.
